Chocolate Toffee Crunch Bars

A semi-sweetened delicious cookie recipe candied with walnuts and chocolate chips. This recipe yields 1x 9-13 inch pan.

Chocolate Toffee Crunch Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. First, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. And then, mix together graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/3 cup melted butter in a medium bowl. Press into the bottom of an ungreased 9×13 inch pan.
  3. Next, bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven. In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil; boil for 1 minute. Pour immediately over baked cookie base.
  4. Lastly, bake for 10 more minutes. Remove from oven, and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let stand for 2 to 3 minutes, until chips are shiny and soft. Spread the softened chocolate evenly over the top. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Cool before cutting into bars.
  5. Chocolate Toffee Crunch Bars are ready to serve!
